Married to her “person” Kane Pierce for 17 years, they have two beautiful and talented daughters Peyton (an engineer) married to Dalton Penfield & Megan (a rock & roll musician) married to Dylan Turner. Karen spends her free time with family. She also has 9 siblings and many nieces & nephews she tries to keep up with. Any given day you may find her traveling with Kane (anywhere the adventure takes them),being Lolli to her two besties (grandchildren) Addison (5) and Harrison (almost 2)(daughter & son to Peyton & Dalton), grilling and spending time in the pool pr watching college football, or playing games at Peyton & Daltons OR catching Megan & Dylan perform with their band Parker Barrow, any free time she can find you can bet she will be surrounded with the ones she loves most. She also LOVES being on the Dream Team and serving at Church of the Highlands (Alabaster) . Karen says she prayed for the life she lives now and never lets a day go by without thanking God for the chance to be with the ones she loves and DO what she loves most!
Outside of Church, Family and Real Estate Karen also runs a Non-Profit. She Is Strong Ministries. She re-created the ministry in honor of her mother Gail Schaffer Lamb after she passed away October 2023. Mother of 10, grand and great grandmother to 81(and counting), Karen wanted to carry on the torch her mom left her. SIS was created to inspire and encourage women, to remind them to embrace who they are, always strive for more, never allow any obstacle to get between them and their dreams. Most importantly to BELIEVE in themselves and His plans for them as promised in Proverbs 31:25. SIS encourages women to share their stories, trials and triumphs in order to spread their LIGHT into the dark spaces – like her mom did every day.
